Alice has extensive experience in philanthropy and nonprofit management. Alice has served as executive director of the Conference on Education and of the Metropolitan Association for Philanthropy in St. Louis, and senior vice president of the Council on Foundations in Washington, DC.
Don is an executive, educator, attorney and entrepreneur. His current work on governance planning draws from all of those perspectives, with focus on the role of values in family enterprises and foundations.
Gustavo has extensive experience as a director in many family and non-family corporate boards, and has acted as independent advisor to several Colombian business families. He recently joined LGA as an Affiliate, advising family enterprises on matters of complex corporate governance.
Devin specializes in financial, operational, and strategic aspects of family enterprise. He brings a background in corporate strategy, economic analysis and investment banking to his work with family businesses, family offices and family foundations.
Michèle consults internationally to family owned or controlled enterprises on issues such as governance policies and structures, succession and leadership development, coaching for executives and successors and shareholder development.
Over the last 20 years Neus has developed an expertise in corporate and family business governance specializing in large Latin American and European Family Businesses. An economist and organizational psychologist by training, Neus holds a Ph.D. from ESADE Business School.
Connie J. G. Gersick was a professor of Human Resources and Organizational Behavior at UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management for 17 years. Her research interests include women’s career and adult development; women in Asian business families; and the effects of time and deadlines on project teams.
Kelin is co-founder of LGA, serving family businesses, family offices and family foundations around the world. He has taught at Harvard University and Yale University, and is Professor Emeritus of Organizational Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology.
Katherine Grady has been a family business consultant for over 20 years. Her consultative work focuses on continuity planning, governance design, leadership development, executive coaching, and family team building with family businesses, offices and foundations.
Nicolas Hollanders specializes in governance design and succession planning. He has advised companies and families in the fields of shareholder strategy, governance, executive recruitment, selection and executive succession, family talent assessment, philanthropy, and continuity planning.
Fernanda Jaramillo is a partner at Lansberg, Gersick & Associates working primarily in Central and South America. Fernanda has extensive experience supporting families in the process of generational transition, with a particular focus on family business governance.
Ivan is the co-founder of LGA. He grew up in an entrepreneurial family in Venezuela and has consulted with hundreds of complex family businesses in the USA, Canada, Asia, Europe and Latin America. He was one of the founders of the Family Firm Institute (FFI) and the first editor of its professional journal, the Family Business Review.
Maria Dolores has worked in the field of finance in family-owned businesses over the last twenty years. Before joining LGA, she was CFO of a major family enterprise in Central America. She has worked extensively on family business financing, mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, dividend policies, stock ownership programs and executive compensation.
Barbara Murray is an Affiliate at LGA and has been a family business consultant for over 20 years. During this time the focus of her work has been on continuity planning, emphasizing the development of Family Governance as a key factor in the success of family enterprises over the generations.
Christopher has over a decade of professional experience working at the intersection of education and practice, with a focus on providing moral leadership training in business, politics and law. Christopher works to provide families with opportunities to explore ethical decision making in the context of practicing leadership skills and engaging in complex negotiations.
Wendy Ulaszek holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in family systems and organizational behavior. At LGA, she has a special focus on executive coaching, succession planning, and the development of the next generation. Wendy has over 15 years of consulting and counseling experience in individual, group, and organizational assessment and leadership development.
Francisco Valera is an Associate with Lansberg, Gersick & Associates in Spain. He specializes in research and consulting to complex family enterprises. Prior to joining LGA, he was the Technical Director of the Instituto de la Empresa Familiar in Barcelona.
Babetta is an expert on family governance and U.S. tax law. She has advised large domestic and international families on their governance and succession planning for approaching 20 years, and has helped such families establish single family offices (SFOs) and private trust companies (PTCs). Babetta is a dual-qualified common law/civil law attorney (admitted to the bars of New York and Zurich, Switzerland).
Catalina Arango is a Junior Associate and works with partners and senior associates of the firm supporting client-families in the design and implementation of plans to ensure the continuity of the family businesses throughout generational transitions.
